Some of the most popular activities for guests cruising with Silversea are the regular bridge sessions on each small luxury ship. The international appeal of bridge is a good way for guest to meet fellow travellers and hone their bridge skills, all the while enjoying a luxury cruise vacation.
Though guests are welcome to play bridge at various levels on any Silversea cruise, in 2012 the ultra-luxury cruise line will offer several special Bridge Sailings featuring a formal program of contract and duplicate bridge, supervised by instructors who are certified by ACBL (American Contract Bridge League) life masters.
Guests can enjoy complimentary daily bridge sessions (twice daily on sea days), bridge lectures for beginner and intermediate level players. Silversea supplies all bridge materials and hosts the program in a dedicated card room on board.
Silversea Bridge Sailings are available on the 296 guest Silver Wind in Africa and Arabia in January and December 2012. A 10 day round trip from Cape Town departs 24 January and visits Port Elizabeth, Maputo, Richards Bay, Durban and East London. Silver Savings fares are priced from AU$4746 per person double occupancy.
The 540 guest flagship Silver Spirit will offer 7 and 15 day Bridge Sailings in South American waters in February, with all inclusive Silver Saving fares from AU$3964 per person.
There will be three Silver Bridge Sailings in the Mediterranean in May and two departures in Asia in March and April priced from AU$4919 per person double occupancy.
