Silversea will feature entertaining Relais & Chateaux cooking schools at sea on twenty voyages in 2012.
This innovative program is yet another complimentary activity available to guests on Silversea’s intimate, ultra-luxury cruise ships. Guests can participate in hands-on classes from Silversea’s culinary trainer David Bisland, a former instructor at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in London.
There will be culinary demonstrations with wine pairings, presentations on sauce preparation, knife skills, baking techniques and a variety of regional recipe preparations. The program has been developed in conjunction with Jacques Thorel, the owner of L’Auberge Bretonne and a consulting Grand Chef Relais & Chateaux
Also offered on several voyages will be Market to Plate experiences, providing an escorted tour to a local market, followed by an entertaining cooking class and an escorted excursion to a local restaurant or hotel for a unique culinary experience.
Each L’Ecole des Chefs cruise will reflect the region the ship visits.
In Asia an 11day Silver Shadow sailing on 25 April from Tokyo to Shanghai will call at Hiroshima, Busan, Jeju, Dalian and Tianjin (Beijing). Silver Savings fares start from AU$6930 per person double occupancy.
In Northern Europe, Silver Cloud departs Copenhagen for London on 10 July visiting Helsinki, St Petersburg, Tallinn, Stockholm, Riga, Warnemunde, Hamburg and Amsterdam. Silver Savings fares start from AU$7670 per person double occupancy.
In South America a 7 day sailing on the flagship Silver Spirit from Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro is priced fromAU$3964.
